The Daily Nole — June 10, 2018: Athletic Year Comes to an End for FSU

It’s Sunday, Florida State fans. As your weekend comes to a close, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State’s track and field team wrapped up the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday, which means the athletic year has come to an end.

Although the FSU football team didn’t have the season that many envisioned, it was a strong year all around. Six programs claimed conference titles while FSU softball won its first national championship last week.

FSU beach volleyball won the CCSA and reached the national title dual where it fell to UCLA. FSU claimed ACC titles in men’s indoor and outdoor track and field, women’s indoor track and field, baseball and softball. The next FSU athletic contest will be soccer in August.

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Sunday.
