Florida State outfielder Jackson Lueck has been selected in the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft.

Lueck, a junior from Orlando, was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the eighth round on Tuesday. Lueck was a third-team All-ACC selection this past season.

Lueck saw his average dip as a junior to .245, but supplied more power this past season. Lueck hit a team-high 15 home runs to go with 45 RBIs, which was second to only catcher Cal Raleigh.

Lueck’s 49 runs led the Seminoles in 2018. Lueck is the fourth FSU player selected in this draft and goes No. 242 overall. He will have the option of returning for a senior season.
