Just hours after winning a second consecutive ACC Tournament and a third in four years, Florida State was named one of the 16 schools who will host a 4-team regional next week by the NCAA.

FSU improved to 43-17 on the season by going a perfect 4-0 at the ACC Tournament in Durham with two of those wins coming in extra innings. After topping Virginia and NC State in pool play, the Seminoles won in their final at-bat in the ACC Tournament semifinals on Saturday night and in the final against Louisville on Sunday.

This is the eighth straight year that Florida State will host an NCAA Regional. The festivities get underway at Dick Howser Stadium on Friday. The format is double-elimination.

The three teams joining the Seminoles and whether or not FSU did enough to earn a top-8 seed will be unveiled on Monday. With a top-8 national seed, Florida State would get to host every game until the College World Series in Omaha.
