It was a short, but productive week for Florida State on the baseball diamond and the pollsters have given the Seminoles a boost.

That boost was small in the Baseball America Poll as FSU moved up just one spot to No. 13. FSU was previously 14th in the poll.

According to D1Baseball.com, Florida State is again a top-10 team. The Seminoles climbed two spots to No. 9 this week and are one of four ACC teams in the top 10.

The highest ranking for FSU comes in the NCBWA Poll. This week, the Seminoles moved up four spots from No. 11 to No. 7.

The Seminoles took two of three from NC State last week with both victories coming in walk-off fashion. Steven Wells hit a solo homer in the 11th inning on Thursday night to lift the Seminoles to a 4-3 win while Reese Albert blasted a 3-run home run in the 10th inning the following night to give FSU a 6-3 victory.

The biggest jump for Florida State this week came in the Collegiate Baseball Poll. The Seminoles rose six spots from No. 22 to No. 16.

For the season, FSU is 39-17. The Seminoles begin the ACC Tournament this week with contests against Virginia and NC State. The Wolfpack are No. 10 in this week’s Baseball America Poll.
