FSU Falls Out of Collegiate Baseball Poll

Florida State went winless on the diamond this past week and the pollsters have noticed.

Florida State fell completely out of Collegiate Baseball’s top 30. The Seminoles were ranked 12th last week, but plunged by more than 18 spots.

In this week’s Baseball America Poll, FSU fell eight spots to No. 17. Of all the polls, the Seminoles were ranked highest, according to Baseball America, last week at No. 9.

FSU fell six spots in the D1Baseball.com Poll. The Seminoles sit at No. 18 after falling to 12th last week.

Florida State went 0-3 this past week losing at home to Florida and Duke twice. The Seminoles’ finale of a 3-game series with the Blue Devils set for Sunday was canceled as a result of inclement weather.

In the NCBWA Poll, FSU fell seven spots from No. 10 to No. 17.

Florida State will play five games this coming week. After hosting a 2-game series with Stetson on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Seminoles will visit Boston College for three games, beginning on Friday.
