National Signing Day got off to a strong start for Florida State on Wednesday morning.

Before many could finish their first cup of coffee, 3-star running back Anthony Grant flipped from Tennessee to FSU. Grant had been committed to the Volunteers since June.

A Buford, Georgia native, Grant is listed at 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Grant is the No. 17 running back for 2018 and the No. 403 overall prospect.

Grant is the first running back to sign with the Seminoles this cycle and the 17th overall commitment.

Entering the day, FSU had the No. 14 overall class, per the Composite. The addition of Grant moves it up to 13th.
