Isaiah Bolden becomes the first Oregon decommit to follow Willie Taggart to his new destination. Bolden announced Friday afternoon that he would be signing with the Florida State Seminoles.

Many fans remember the Wesley Chapel product as a former Florida State commit. When Taggart went to Oregon, he kept recruiting Bolden and convinced him that the Ducks were his best option. Bolden flipped, but Florida State continued recruiting him and had many thinking that another flip was coming soon. Jimbo Fisher leaving hurt that idea. Taggart’s hiring all but confirmed it.

Bolden is a 4-star cornerback who ranks 24th overall at the position according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings. He is ranked as the 232nd overall recruit in the nation.

Bolden is lengthy and athletic, with the speed to prosper at either his listed position or as a safety. Florida State’s numbers at the latter position mean Bolden will likely get his first look at cornerback.

Bolden is the fifth-highest rated recruit of the 2018 FSU recruiting class. He is the third cornerback, below Anthony Lytton and Asante Samuel Jr., who also signed with the Seminoles on Friday.

Entering the day, FSU ranked just 45th as a class, according to the Composite, and seventh in the ACC. The addition of Bolden moves FSU up to 34th overall and sixth in the ACC. Bolden is the 10th commitment of the 2018 class for the Seminoles and the sixth to sign.
