It’s Monday, Florida State fans. As you return to work, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

In eight days, Florida State has lost 38 percent of its 2018 recruiting class. It began when the Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M coaching rumors began to swirl and has continued since his departure.

A class of 18 members on the morning on Nov. 26 is down to 11 after seven decommitments. The latest three came Sunday from 3-star defensive end Patrick Joyner, 3-star wide receiver Antoine Green and 4-star running Jashaun Corbin.

A class that was once in the top 10, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, is now ranked 32nd. That ranks sixth in the ACC. The lowest FSU has ever finished in the Composite is 20th in 2007.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s basketball defeated James Madison on Sunday, 79-63.

On the Agenda

FSU hoops will visit Florida at 9 p.m. EST on Tuesday night. The contest airs on ESPN2.

News and Notes

FSU women’s hoops star Shakayla Thomas was named ACC Player of the Week.

Stanford defeated UCLA on Sunday to win the women’s soccer national championship.
