It’s Sunday, Florida State fans. While you try to enjoy what’s left of your weekend, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State made things interesting late on Saturday at No. 4 Clemson, but ultimately came away on the short end of a 31-14 score.

With the loss, FSU fell to 3-6 and finished 3-5 in ACC play. That ties the worst finish in conference play since FSU joined the ACC in 1992. The Seminoles also finished 3-5 in conference in 2006.

In order to avoid missing a bowl game for the first time since 1981, FSU will need to win its final three games. The Seminoles finish with Delaware State, at Florida and finally, Louisiana-Monroe.

Between the Lines

Clemson defeated FSU football on Saturday, 31-14.

On the Agenda

FSU volleyball will take on Boston College at 1 p.m. EST on Saturday on ACC Network Extra. FSU women’s hoops will visit Jacksonville State.

With the decommitment of Marquez Ezzard, FSU falls from ninth to 10th, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
