It wasn’t a prosperous weekend for Florida State’s well-known football program, but the men’s basketball team received a bit of good news.

According to a report, Naseem Khaalid has committed to FSU. Khaalid is a 2020 prospect and the first member of that class for FSU.

Khaalid is listed as a 6-foot-2, 180-pound point guard from Jacksonville. Khaalid is currently a sophomore at First Coast Christian School. Khaalid is not yet ranked as a prospect by the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Khaalid, as mentioned before, is the first commitment of the 2020 class. FSU does not yet have a commitment for 2019. Devin Vassell, a 3-star guard from Georgia, is the lone commitment for 2018.
