It’s Friday, Florida State fans, which means the weekend is almost here. As we get there, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Things seem to be going from bad to worse for Florida State football.

According to the injury report, starting guard Landon Dickerson will watch his season end prematurely for a second year in a row. According to reports, Dickerson will have surgery to repair a foot injury after going down with a knee injury late last season.

Dickerson joins two other second-year offensive linemen in Jauan Williams and Baveon Johnson with season-ending injuries. Also out for Saturday are wide receiver Keith Gavin, linebacker Jacob Pugh and safety Trey Marshall among others. Wide receiver George Campbell is questionable with a hip injury.

Between the Lines

FSU soccer defeated Florida on Thursday, 2-0. FSU baseball held its first of two Garnet and Gold scrimmages.

On the Agenda

FSU baseball will play its second Garnet and Gold scrimmage on Friday. FSU men’s tennis will begin the ITA Southeast Regional Championships. FSU cross country teams will compete in the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational and Crimson Classic. FSU basketball’s “Jam with Ham” begins at 7 p.m. EST. FSU swimming and diving will be in Durham to face Duke and Virginia Tech. FSU volleyball will be at Wake Forest in a contest that begins at 6:30 p.m. EST and airs on ACC Network Extra.

FSU kicker Ricky Aguayo was the lone Seminole to make ESPN’s Mid-Season All-ACC team, released Thursday.
