The Daily Nole — Oct. 10, 2017: FSU Baseball to Play Fall Scrimmages

It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans. As your work week chugs along, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

After a first College World Series appearance in five years, Florida State baseball will return to game action this week — at least internally.

The program will host its annual Garnet and Gold games on Thursday and Friday. On Monday, the Seminoles will host the Ontario Blue Jays in a scrimmage.

FSU is coming off a season in which it won 40 games for a 40th straight year. The Seminoles also claimed a second ACC title in three years before falling to LSU twice in Ohama.

Between the Lines

FSU men’s tennis wrapped up the All-American Main Draw in Tulsa on Monday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

News and Notes

FSU is currently a 6.5-point favorite over Duke for Saturday.
