Defensive backs continue to be in high supply for Florida State’s class of 2018.

On Monday afternoon, Israel Mukuamu pledged his services to the Seminoles. Mukuamu is a 3-star safety prospect from Bossier City, Louisiana with a long frame at 6-5 and nearly 190 pounds.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Mukuamu is the No. 526 overall prospect for 2018. Mukuamu is also listed as the No. 41 safety and the 22nd best player from the Bayou State.

Mukuamu chose the Seminoles over South Carolina among many others. He’s FSU’s 17th commitment for 2018, fourth defensive back and second safety, joining John Huggins, the class’ most recent commitment.

FSU entered the day with the No. 7 overall class for 2018. The addition of Mukuamu keeps FSU in seventh.
