3-star athlete Jashaun Corbin announced on Twitter Monday morning that he has committed to Florida State.

Corbin is a recruit in the class of 2018 that is highly sought after for his versatility. He was committed to Tennessee as of last Monday, but a visit from the Florida State coaches seems to have changed his mind.

His 247Sports profile lists him as an all-purpose back, but he has stated in the past that he can play defensive back as well. While his overall ranking might not be all that impressive, he is likely to rise more once the season has started. His offer list includes many similar caliber programs.

Corbin is ranked as the No. 8 all-purpose back, according to the 247Sports Composite, the No. 61 Florida recruit, and the No. 382 national recruit. He plays high school football at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne, Florida.

With Corbin’s commitment, Florida State’s 2018 class now ranks sixth nationally and second in the ACC. He is the ninth player in the class and the third running back, joining James Cook and Charles Strong.
