First, it was the Florida State women’s golf team. Now, it’s the men.

Florida State clinched a spot in the NCAA Championships on Wednesday as the Seminoles finished the NCAA Regional Championships in Sammamish, Washington in third place. The top five teams moved on.

The Seminoles had their worst day of the 3-day regional on Wednesday, finishing +12 for the day and +10 for the regional, but still moved on. FSU led after the first round, but had fallen to second at the start of the day.

Claiming first place was USC at -3 with Kent State in second place, six strokes behind at +3. FSU finished tied with Alabama. Penn State was the last team to qualify at +11, four strokes better than sixth-place Texas A&M.

On the individual front, Penn State’s Cole Miller won the regional at -7. Harry Ellis, the top finisher for FSU, finished tied for fifth at -3.

The NCAA Championships will take place from May 26-31 in Sugar Grove, Illinois.
