FSU’s Holton Named ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week

Florida State sophomore left-hander Tyler Holton was named the ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week, along with North Carolina’s Luca Dalatri, after an outstanding start over the weekend.

Holton earned the honors for his performance in Saturday’s 8-0 victory over Samford. Holton worked seven shutout innings, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out a career-high 11 batters.

Holton earned the victory to improve to 2-0 and owns a 0.69 ERA for the season. Holton is expected to make his third start of the season this coming weekend when the Seminoles play host to Oakland for three games.
