It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans. While you may still have four days left in your work week, we’ll try to help get you through it. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

With Monday’s 104-72 victory over Boston College, Florida State head basketball coach Leonard Hamilton has now hit the 500-win mark for his career.

300 of those wins have come at FSU, which is the most in school-history. The Seminoles were led by having four players score in double-figures in Monday’s victory.

With the victory, FSU hit double-digit wins in ACC play for the first time since the 2011-12 season and the fifth time in Hamilton’s 15-year tenure. Hamilton was named ACC Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2012. With FSU a surprising 22-6 this season, it’s possible that he could win that honor again.

Between the Lines

FSU’s victory over Boston College was the only Florida State athletic event scheduled for Monday.

On the Agenda

FSU women’s tennis will take on Miami and Florida Atlantic in Coral Gables. FSU baseball will host South Florida at 4 p.m. EST on ACC Network Extra.

News and Notes

FSU’s softball contest with South Alabama has been canceled, due to weather.

12 FSU football players were recognized as “Academic Warriors”.

FSU softball is ranked No. 1 in both the NFCA and USA Today Coaches Poll. It is the first No. 1 ranking in program history.

Former FSU running back Dalvin Cook will host a youth camp at Florida State.

FSU’s Jessica Burroughs has been named ACC Softball Pitcher of the Week after earning three wins during the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

South Florida scored four runs in the ninth to beat FSU baseball on Tuesday, 4-2.
