FSU Ascends to Sixth in AP Poll

After a pair of wins over ranked teams, Florida State moved up four spots in the AP Poll.

The Seminoles now sit at No. 6 after home victories over Norte Dame and Louisville. The last time FSU had such a high ranking came during the 1992-93 season when it was also sixth. In the USA Today Coaches Poll, Florida State also moved up four spots to No. 8.

The Seminoles are the highest ranked ACC team in the AP Poll. Their highest national ranking ever was second to start the 1972-73 season.

Florida State will begin a stretch of three straight roads games on Wednesday at Georgia Tech. FSU will then head to the Carrier Dome to face Syracuse on Saturday.
