It’s Saturday, Florida State fans. Before you sit down to enjoy the big basketball game, keep up to date with the latest in FSU athletics here. The news and notes section will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

After a 1-year stint in Orlando, the Florida State spring game will return to Tallahassee. This year’s intrasquad game will take place on April 8.

Last year’s spring game was held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando while renovations were made to Doak Campbell Stadium. Nearly 50,000 people showed up last April to watch the Garnet and Gold teams finish in a 24-24 tie.

This year’s spring game will feature seven early enrollees, headlined by running back Cam Akers. Others include cornerback Stanford Samuels, defensive end Joshua Kaindoh and quarterback Bailey Hockman.

Between the Lines

FSU’s men’s tennis team blanked both Florida Gulf Coast and Florida A&M on Friday. The track and field teams competed in the Hawkeye Classic in Iowa City.

On the Agenda

The FSU swimming and diving teams will visit Alabama on Saturday. FSU’s men’s basketball team will host Louisville at 2 p.m. EST. The game will air on ESPN.

News and Notes

Florida State basketball coach Leonard Hamilton said guard Braian Angola-Rodas is unlikely to play against Louisville.

FSU will celebrate throwback day for Saturday’s contest with Louisville.

Jonathan Isaac recorded his third straight double-double as Florida State defeated Louisville on Saturday, 73-68.
