And then, there were two.

That’s how many defensive ends Florida State now has committed for 2017. That’s because on Sunday , 3-star Tre Lawson, out of North Augusta, South Carolina, pledged his services to the Seminoles. He was originally committed to Tennessee, but backed off that commitment in December.

Lawson, a 6-6, 250-prospect, is listed as the No. 723 overall prospect for 2017, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Lawson is also the 33rd-ranked strongside defensive end. He also held offers from schools like Ole Miss, Louisville, and Oregon.

Lawson becomes the second defensive end to commit to Florida State for 2017, joining 5-star Joshua Kaindoh. Lawson is also the 20th prospect overall to become a part of the class. FSU entered the day with the No. 5 overall class for 2017, according to the Composite rankings.
