The Daily Nole — Dec. 25, 2016: FSU Arrives in Miami for Orange Bowl

Merry Christmas, Florida State fans. We hope all is well. We’ll try to keep you up to date with the latest in FSU athletics by updating the news and notes section throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State has headed south for the holidays.

On Saturday, FSU’s plane arrived in Miami as the Seminoles prepare to play No. 6 Michigan in the Capital One Orange Bowl. It’s FSU’s fifth straight major bowl appearance and the team hopes to earn a victory to make it five straight 10-win seasons and also end the year in the top 10.

Florida State will hold practices at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The contest is the 10th appearance for the Seminoles in the Orange Bowl. FSU defeated Northern Illinois 31-10 to conclude the 2012 season in its last.

ESPN’s Chad Ford has FSU forward Jonathan Isaac ranked at No. 8 on his big board.

Former FSU cornerback Jalen Ramsey recorded his first NFL touchdown on Sunday, returning an interception 30 yards to help the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Tennessee Titans, 38-17.
