We’re two days away from Santa Claus coming down the chimney and a week away from hopefully watching Dalvin Cook race toward the end zone. Enjoy your Friday, Florida State fans. We’ll keep you up to the date on the latest in FSU athletics by updating the news and notes section.

Lead Story

The number of 5-star commitments for Florida State’s 2017 class could double on Friday. That’s because defensive end Joshua Kaindoh will announce his college destination.

The 6-6, 235-pound defensive end out of IMG Academy is ranked the No. 21 overall prospect for 2017. Kaindoh is also the second-ranked weakside defensive end and the fourth best prospect in Florida.

Kaindoh committed to Maryland in April, but de-committed in November and since then, FSU seems to have been picking up steam. The Seminoles do not currently have a defensive end committed for 2017. Kaindoh will make his announcement at 7 p.m. EST.
