And then there were two…as in two 5-star prospects committed as part of Florida State’s 2017 recruiting class.

On Friday night, defensive end Joshua Kaindoh, a 6-6, 235-prospect out of IMG Academy, pledged his services to the Seminoles. Kaindoh’s decision comes as little surprise as FSU had been trending for the elite pass-rusher since his decommitment from Maryland in November.

Kaindoh ranks 21st nationally for 2017, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Kaindoh also ranks fourth among Florida prospects and second among weakside defensive ends. Kaindoh plans on enrolling for the spring semester.

Kaindoh becomes the 15th member of FSU’s 2017 class and the third commitment in the last week. Kaindoh is the only defensive end committed for the class and joins cornerback Stanford Samuels as the second 5-star to commit to the Seminoles.

FSU entered the day with the No. 12 overall class for 2017 and the No. 2 class in the ACC. With the addition of Kaindoh, FSU moves up to seventh with the top class in the ACC.
