FSU Basketball Adds 4-Star Center for 2017 Class

Good news arrived for Florida State men’s basketball before its game on Monday night against Minnesota. According to his Twitter, 4-star center Ikechukwu Obiagu has committed to play for the Seminoles.

What It Means: Obiagu is an athletic post player that stands at 7-0 and 230 pounds officially, though he has likely put on more weight recently. Defending the rim comes naturally to Obiagu and he already seems comfortable in that respect. Developing a post game will help his offensive impact, but he will almost certainly be inserted for defensive help early in his career.

Obiagu is the fifth commit of the 2017 FSU class and is the highest rated of his peers. He is the 47th best prospect in the nation and the fourth best center, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
