Mitch White/FSU athletics

Happy hump day, Florida State fans. The next few days will be quiet ones for FSU athletics, but we’ll give you all you need to know. The news and notes section will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Instead of the home finale against Florida, Florida State will celebrate Senior Night on Friday against Boston College. The Seminoles also celebrated Senior Day in 2014 against the Eagles instead of during the regular season finale against Florida. Head coach Jimbo Fisher said it was easier for families to come into town to be with the players.

Notable seniors for FSU include quarterback Sean Maguire, fullback Freddie Stevenson, wide receivers Jesus Wilson and Kermit Whitfield, guard Kareem Are, defensive end DeMarcus Walker, cornerback Marquez White and safety Nate Andrews.

Junior running back Dalvin Cook, who is not expected to return for a senior year, will not be honored with the seniors on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. EST and will air on ESPN2.
