Three Florida State players earned weekly honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference for their efforts in Saturday’s 24-20 victory over N.C. State.

Nyqwan Murray, a sophomore, was named the ACC’s Receiver of the Week after having a career night against the Wolfpack. Murray finished with nine catches for 153 yards – both career-highs – in the victory. It marked the second straight week that Murray had led FSU in receiving.

Freshman quarterback Deondre Francois was honored as the ACC’s Co-Rookie of the Week for his 330-yard passing performance. Francois completed 22 of his 39 pass attempts with a touchdown and no interceptions in the victory. Francois was previously recognized by the ACC for efforts against Ole Miss and Miami. Miami receiver Ahmmon Richards and Wake Forest safety Jessie Bates shared the honor with Francois.

Senior defensive end DeMarcus Walker not only moved into the top 10 all-time at Florida State when it came to sacks, but he was recognized by the ACC for it. Walker recorded two sacks in Saturday’s victory, including one that allowed FSU to get the ball back and march down the field for the winning touchdown. Walker was tied for a game-high with 10 tackles en route to being named the ACC’s Defensive Lineman of the Week. Walker leads the country with 10.5 sacks.

Those three Seminoles will have a short week to try and build on a strong performance. FSU will face Boston College on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. EST.
