FSU’s Visit to Syracuse 6-Day Optioned

Fans will have to wait until Sunday to find out what time and channel Florida State will face Syracuse on. That’s because the ACC put the game on a 6-day option Monday, meaning the conference will await the outcome of this week’s games before assigning a time and a network for the Nov. 19 contest at the Carrier Dome.

FSU is 3-0 against Syracuse since the Orange joined the ACC and has won the last eight in the series. Under first-year head coach Dino Babers, Syracuse has bowl aspirations at 4-5.

Syracuse has already upset a ranked Virginia Tech team in the Carrier Dome this year and will look to do likewise against FSU. The Seminoles beat the Orange 45-21 in Tallahassee last season and 38-20 in their last trip to the Carrier Dome two years ago.

FSU became bowl-eligible at 6-3 on Saturday with a 24-20 win over N.C. State and will host Boston College on Friday night. Syracuse will host the Wolfpack on Saturday as both teams hope to get to .500.
