Following a thrilling 24-20 victory over N.C. State on Saturday night, Florida State remained in the polls. One of the two traditional polls saw the Seminoles rise while the other saw them drop.

FSU fell one spot in the AP Poll to No. 20 after being ranked 19th in both polls last week. The top 5 was unchanged with Alabama topping in the poll, followed by No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Clemson, No. 4 Washington and fifth-ranked Louisville.

Florida State moved up one spot in the Amway Coaches Poll, moving up from No. 19 to 18th. The poll was topped by Alabama, followed by Clemson, Michigan, Washington and Ohio State.

The Seminoles remained one of five ACC teams ranked. Aside from Clemson, Louisville, North Carolina and Virginia Tech were all ranked. The Cardinals were No. 6 in the Coaches Poll. North Carolina sits at No. 15 in the AP Poll and 13th in the Coaches Poll. The Hokies are 18th in the AP Poll and No. 22 in the Coaches Poll.

Florida State will look to clinch a 40th straight winning season on Friday as it plays host to Boston College.
