One win now separates Florida State from a fourth straight ACC title. In Charleston on Friday night, the Seminoles used a first half goal from Megan Connolly and never looked back in a 1-0 victory in the ACC Tournament semifinals.

Connolly’s sixth goal of the season came on a header less than four minutes into the match. Kaycie Tillman and Malia Berkely assisted on the goal that sneaked by Clemson’s Kailen Sheridan.

FSU goalkeeper Cassie Miller finished with three saves on the night for the Seminoles (13-3-3). Sheridan also finished with three saves for the Tigers in the loss.

When it came to shots, Clemson had 12 to FSU’s 11, but the Seminoles had more on goal with four to the Tigers’ three.

The Seminoles will advance to take on North Carolina in the ACC final on Sunday at noon EST. The Tar Heels advanced by beating Notre Dame 2-1 on Friday. North Carolina defeated FSU 1-0 when the teams met in Chapel Hill on Oct. 27 to conclude the regular season.
