It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans. We’re only four days away from FSU taking on N.C. State, but this week is a relatively slow one for FSU athletics. Still, we don’t want you to miss anything. The news and notes section will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State junior defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi earned ACC weekly honors on Monday being named the ACC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week for his performance in Saturday’s 37-34 loss to Clemson.

Nnadi was a man possessed on Saturday night, finishing the evening with eight total tackles, two for loss and a sack. Earlier in the week, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said FSU’s pair of defensive tackles which also includes Demarcus Christmas, were the best the Tigers had seen and Nnadi didn’t disappoint.

For the year, Nnadi ranks fourth on the team with 26 total tackles, second with 6 tackles for loss and third with 3.5 sacks. Nnadi is also one of five FSU players with a fumble recovery.
