FSU-N.C. State 6-Day Optioned

The Atlantic Coast Conference set kickoff times Monday for Nov. 5 contests, but Florida State will have to wait to see when it will kick off in Raleigh.

That’s because FSU’s trip to Carter-Finley Stadium was 6-day optioned by the ACC. That means a decision on kickoff time and network won’t be made until Sunday — after this week’s slate of games are played.

FSU is currently 5-2 and ranked 12th in the country. N.C. State is 4-3. The Seminoles will host Clemson this Saturday while the Wolfpack will welcome in Boston College.

Though Florida State has won three straight in the series, trips to Raleigh have traditionally been tough for the Seminoles. In its last nine visits to Carter-Finley Stadium, FSU is just 4-5.

Florida State rallied from a 24-7 deficit to beat the Wolfpack 56-41 in its last trip in 2014, but head coach Jimbo Fisher lost in each of his first two trips there. N.C. State upset FSU 28-24 on a Thursday night in 2010 and rallied from 16 points down in 2012 to top the highly-ranked Seminoles, 17-16.
