Florida State football received some recruiting news on Tuesday night, as 3-star offensive tackle Brady Scott (class of 2017) announced his commitment on Twitter.

Scott goes to Mount Paran Christian School in Powder Springs, Georgia. He comes in at 6-6 and 290 pounds, and projects to be an offensive tackle at the next level, though he will need to put on serious weight before he is able to contribute (though for what it’s worth, Scott claims he is closer to 290 now). The Seminoles offered him a scholarship back in July. Other Power 5 schools to do the same are Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Wake Forest.

In terms of recruiting rankings, Scott is ranked as the 96th offensive tackle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings and the 978th overall prospect in the nation. He is Florida State’s 14th commit of the 2017 class. With the commitment, the Seminoles move up to from 11th to No. 8 in the overall class rankings for 2017.
