In two weeks time, Florida State has gone from the No. 2 team in the country to out of the top 20.

Following a 37-35 loss at home to North Carolina on Saturday, FSU fell nine spots from 12th to No. 21 in the Amway Coaches Poll and from 12th to No. 23 in the AP Poll.

Topping both polls was Alabama, followed by Ohio State, Clemson and Michigan. In the AP Poll, Washington sat at No. 5 while Houston holds that post in the Coaches Poll.

Florida State is one of six ranked teams from the ACC. Behind Clemson was Louisville, who was seventh in the AP Poll and eighth in the Amway Coaches Poll. Miami jumped into the top 10 in both polls at No. 10 while North Carolina moved up from 23rd to 16th in the Amway Coaches Poll after beating FSU on Saturday and from unranked to 17th in the AP Poll. Virginia Tech is now No. 25 in the AP Poll, but not ranked in the Coaches Poll.

The Seminoles will visit Miami on Saturday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST and the contest will air on ABC.
