Following a 55-35 victory over South Florida on Saturday, Florida State has risen in the traditional polls.

After falling from No. 2 to 14th in the Amway Coaches Poll last week at the conclusion of a 63-20 loss at Louisville, the Seminoles moved up two spots to No. 12.

Alabama continued to top the poll, followed by Ohio State, Clemson, Louisville and Michigan. FSU is one of four ACC teams in the top 15 and one of five total ranked in the poll. In addition to Clemson and Louisville, rival Miami sits at No. 14. Next week’s opponent for FSU, North Carolina, is 23rd. The Tar Heels rallied for a thrilling 37-36 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Florida State was also 12th in the AP Poll — a 1-spot jump. Alabama tops the poll, followed by Ohio State, Louisville, Michigan and Clemson. North Carolina was not ranked in the AP Poll.
