Kickoff times and broadcast networks were announced for Oct. 1 games on Monday and that includes Florida State’s first ACC home against North Carolina.

The Seminoles and Tar Heels will kick off at 3:30 p.m. EST in less than two weeks and the game is scheduled to air on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 Saturday’s coming contest at South Florida will be the third straight early start for FSU, so kicking off a bit later in the day will be a welcomed sight for Seminole fans.

The Oct. 1 meeting at Doak Campbell Stadium will be the first between FSU and North Carolina since 2010. That year, the Tar Heels prevailed 37-35 in Tallahassee, thanks to a missed field goal by FSU kicker Dustin Hopkins in the waning seconds.

The contest between Florida State and the Tar Heels won’t have the hype that it did in the preseason because both teams will enter the game with at least one loss. FSU suffered the worst defeat under head coach Jimbo Fisher this past week, losing to Louisville 63-20. North Carolina lost to Georgia in Atlanta to open the year, 33-24. FSU has the all-time edge over the Tar Heels, 15-2-1.
