Florida State Climbs to No. 2 in Latest Poll

Following an improbable comeback win over Ole Miss on Labor Day and a 52-8 rout of Charleston Southern on Saturday, Florida State has climbed one spot to No. 2 in both polls.

The Seminoles were previously third, but switched spots with Clemson after the Tigers struggled with Troy at home on Saturday. Florida State is behind only No. 1 Alabama in the poll.

FSU and Clemson each received one first-place vote. The Crimson Tide received the other 62 first-place votes in the poll.

Behind Alabama, FSU and Clemson is Ohio State and Michigan. Stanford, Houston, Michigan State, Washington and next week’s opponent for Florida State, Louisville, rounded out the top 10.

The Seminoles also climbed to No. 2 in the AP Poll behind Alabama with Ohio State and Michigan ranking third and fourth respectively and Clemson rounding out the top 5. Houston, Stanford, Washington, Wisconsin and Louisville rounded out the top 10.

Florida State will visit Louisville on Saturday. Th contest will begin at noon EST and will be shown on ABC.
