Following an improbable comeback win over No. 11 Ole Miss on Monday night in Orlando, Florida State climbed a spot in both polls on Tuesday.

After starting the year No. 4 in each poll, the Seminoles rose a spot to No. 3 in both the AP Poll and the Amway Coaches Poll. Florida State rallied from a 28-6 deficit to beat Ole Miss on Monday by a score of 45-34, but the Seminoles also benefited from third-ranked Oklahoma falling to Houston on Saturday.

Alabama continues to top both polls while FSU’s ACC rival Clemson came in at No. 2 for the second straight week. The Seminoles were followed by Ohio State, Stanford and Michigan in the Amway Coaches Poll. Houston, Michigan State, Georgia and Iowa rounded out the top 10.

In the AP Poll, Ohio State and Michigan rounded out the top 5. Houston moved from 15th to sixth and was followed by Stanford, Washington, Georgia and Wisconsin. The Seminoles received four of a possible 61 first-place votes in the poll.

Florida State will play at Doak Campbell Stadium for the first time this week as the Seminoles host Charleston Southern.
