There might be seven teams ranked in the preseason top 25, but the ACC coaches are predicting that top-ranked Florida State will win the conference for a fourth straight year.

FSU received 191 points and nine of 14 first-place votes from the conference’s coaches when the results were unveiled Thursday. Virginia received three first-place votes while the other two went to Duke. The Blue Devils knocked FSU out of its fifth straight College Cup appearance last season.

The coaches’ All-ACC team was also unveiled on Thursday and FSU had two players selected in sophomore midfielder Megan Connolly and redshirt senior defender Kirsten Crowley. Both players were named to the Hermann Trophy watch list last month, which is the nation’s most prestigious individual award.

Connolly returns after leading the Seminoles with 28 points a season ago. Duke had the most players on the preseason all-conference team with three. FSU will begin the season on Aug. 19 at No. 8 Texas A&M.
