Florida State will begin the 2016 season ranked fourth in the Amway Coaches Poll, which was unveiled Thursday. The Seminoles are coming off a 10-3 campaign in 2015 that concluded with a Peach Bowl loss to Houston.

This marks the eighth straight year that FSU has been ranked in the Coaches Poll to start the season. The Seminoles began last season ranked eighth in the poll before finishing at No. 14. Florida State sat atop the preseason poll in 2014.

Topping the 2016 preseason poll was defending national champion Alabama, followed by reigning ACC champion Clemson and Oklahoma. FSU was followed by Ohio State to round out the top 5. LSU, Stanford, Michigan, Notre Dame and Tennessee rounded out the top 10.

FSU was one among four ACC teams ranked in the poll. In addition to Clemson and FSU, North Carolina was ranked 20th and Louisville was ranked 23rd. Rival Florida will start the year at No. 25 while Miami was the top vote-getter among unranked teams.

The Seminoles will open the year against Ole Miss in Orlando on Sept. 5. The Rebels were ranked No. 12 in the preseason poll.
