Two Florida State Seminoles were among 36 soccer players named to the Hermann Trophy watch list, which was released on Tuesday.

Sophomore midfielder Megan Connolly and senior defender Kirsten Crowley were each among 10 ACC players to make the list. The award is the most prestigious individual honor that can be given to a collegiate soccer player and is awarded by the Missouri Athletic Club.

As a freshman last season, Connolly led the Seminoles with 36 total points. Connolly had a team-high 10 assists and finished second only to Cheyna Williams with nine goals.

Crowley is best known for her defense. As a redshirt junior in 2015, Crowley appeared in 24 games and finished with three goals and five assists for a total of 11 points.

Connolly and Crowley are two big reasons why expectations will again be high for the Seminoles. FSU is coming off of five straight College Cup appearances, which includes winning the national championship in 2014. The Seminoles will open the 2016 campaign at Texas A&M on Aug. 19.
