The ACC had the third most players on the Outland Trophy watch list, which was released Friday, and among them was Florida State’s Roderick Johnson.

Johnson, a junior left tackle, comes into the 2016 with All-American hype. At 6-7 and nearly 310 pounds, Johnson has been quite a presence for the Seminoles both as a pass-blocker and as a run-blocker.

Despite not taking over the starting job until November, Johnson was named a Freshman All-American in 2014 before becoming an All-ACC selection as a sophomore last season. Johnson was one of only two Seminoles to start every game up front last season.

Johnson has started in 18 straight games for FSU and is the signature piece of an offensive line unit expected to be much improved in 2016. Johnson seeks to become the first FSU player to win the Outland Trophy, which is annually given to the nation’s best interior lineman.
