FSU Recruiting: Seminoles Add 4-Star RB

What most recruiting experts saw as inevitable became official on Friday as 4-star running back Kahlan Laborn announced his commitment to Florida State, according to 247Sports’ Josh Newberg. Laborn reportedly made his commitment by arriving at The Opening in a Lamborghini with FSU logos on the side.

Laborn, out of Bishop Sullivan Catholic School in Virginia Beach, picked the Seminoles over ACC foes Virginia Tech and North Carolina. Laborn is ranked the No. 38 overall prospect for 2017 and the second-ranked all-purpose back.

At 5-10 and just under 200 pounds, Laborn becomes the 11th member of FSU’s 2017 recruiting class. Laborn becomes the Seminoles’ second highest prospect of the class behind only 5-star cornerback Stanford Samuels III, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Laborn is also the second running back to join FSU’s 2017 class. Zaquandre White, out of Fort Myers, is the other.

FSU entered the day with the No. 10 recruiting class for 2017. The Seminoles move up to seventh with the addition of Laborn.
