The final Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings for the 2015-16 were released this week and Florida State found itself finishing at No. 22.

The criteria for the Directors’ Cup is largely of compilation of how athletic programs finish across the spectrum. FSU has 18 total NCAA-recognized programs.

For Florida State, it was a solid all-around campaign as the Seminoles reached a New Year’s Six bowl on the gridiron, the College Cup in women’s soccer, the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in women’s basketball, the Super Regionals in baseball, the Women’s College World Series in softball and the national championship match in beach volleyball.

Topping the Directors’ Cup standings for the 22nd straight year was Stanford, followed by Ohio State, Michigan, USC and Florida, FSU’s arch-rival. The Seminoles were one of six ACC schools to finish in the top 25. North Carolina topped ACC programs at No. 7, followed by Virginia at No. 8.

Notre Dame finished 17th in the Directors’ Cup standings while Syracuse came in right in front of FSU at No. 21. Duke was the sixth ACC team to finish in the top 25 at 24th.
