FSU Baseball: Four Noles Earn ACC All-Academic Honors

The Atlantic Coast Conference’s All-Academic baseball team was released on Friday and four Florida State players made the list.

Junior outfielder Ben DeLuzio made the list along with pitchers Mike Compton, Drew Carlton and Chase Haney.

DeLuzio and Compton, a redshirt senior, were each honored for a third time. DeLuzio is an economics major while Compton is earning his master’s degree in business marketing.

In addition to being FSU’s ace on the mound, Carlton was an ace in the classroom. Like DeLuzio, the sophomore from Lakeland is majoring in economics.

Haney, a freshman majoring in business-marketing, was the fourth Seminole honored. Clemson pitcher Pat Krall was named the conference’s Scholar Athlete of the Year.
