Florida State landed its third commitment of 2018 on Tuesday as Jacksonville cornerback Isaiah Bolden pledged his services to the Seminoles.

The 6-1, 170-pound cover corner from Bartram Trail High School chose FSU over a plethora of other schools that included Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Tennessee.

Ranked as the 135th overall player in the country and No. 15 cornerback in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite, Bolden is a 4-star talent. He is also the highest rated player to commit to FSU for 2018.

Bolden joins an early recruiting class that includes a pair of running backs in Miami’s James Cook and Gainesville’s Charles Strong. Strong is listed as a 3-star prospect while Cook, the younger brother of FSU running back Dalvin Cook, was recently reclassified from a class of 2019 recruit to a 2018 prospect.

The commitment of Bolden gives FSU the No. 9 overall class for 2018, according to the Composite. For 2017, the Seminoles currently rank 15th.

Side note: Bolden may not be the only commitment for FSU in the next two weeks. Although Maliek Gray committed to Tennessee on Sunday, it is possible to see Stanford Samuels III, Justin Watkins and Daniel Wright commit to FSU soon. Those are the guys circled by many on the “commit watch”. There may be other unexpected commitments, so it could be a fun week to be a Seminole fan.
