FSU Recruiting: Seminoles in Top 3 for OLB

One of the nation’s top 100 players and sixth-ranked outside linebacker announced his top 3 schools on Thursday and for Florida State, the news was good.

Markail Benton, from Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama, will choose between the Seminoles and in-state schools, Auburn and defending national champion Alabama.

According to 247Sports, Benton is the No. 87 overall recruit for the class of 2017. Early on, experts believe that the Tigers are the front-runner to land Benton. When Benton released his top 6 in April, the list also included Clemson, LSU and South Carolina.

According to 247Sports, the Seminoles currently own the No. 15 overall recruiting class for 2017. FSU has one outside linebacker already committed in 3-star legacy Bradley Jennings Jr. from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville.
