FSU Baseball Selected as a Regional Host

Florida State was unable to capture its second straight ACC title on Sunday, but did enough in Durham to be among 16 teams selected to host a regional in the NCAA Tournament, which starts Friday.

FSU will head into the NCAA Tournament with a record of 37-20. The Seminoles went 3-1 in the ACC Tournament, beating N.C. State, Georgia Tech and Miami before ultimately falling to Clemson for the title on Sunday.

The selection marks the 39th straight season that the Seminoles have reached the NCAA Tournament. FSU has also now been a regional host in six straight seasons.

Florida State swept through the Tallahassee Regional last season, beating Mercer and College of Charleston twice before being swept by Florida in the Gainesville Super Regional. The national seeds and the remainder of FSU’s bracket will be unveiled on Monday afternoon.
