Florida State junior reliever Jim Voyles will miss at least two weeks after being struck in the head by a line drive during Sunday’s 11-6 victory over Notre Dame, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

Voyles walked off the field on his own power, but was taken to a Tallahassee hospital following the incident and will stay until at least Tuesday, according to the Democrat.

With a perfect 5-0 record and a 1.19 ERA, Voyles has arguably been the Seminoles’ best pitcher this season.

Last week, Voyles was among 72 pitchers named to the National College Baseball Hall of Fame’s Pitcher of the Year watch list. Voyles, a Georgia native, is the twin brother of redshirt sophomore pitcher Ed Voyles.

FSU has a light schedule over the next two weeks. The Seminoles won’t play again until Saturday when they travel to Clemson to open a 3-game series. FSU will follow that up with a midweek contest at Stetson before returning home for a 3-game weekend series with Bowling Green.
