Quick question? for you bud, from what conference did the team that made the most appearances in the BCS NCG come from?

Second, from which conference did a team compete in the most consecutive BCS NCG's come from?

    Third who was that team?

Fourth how many BCS NC Titles does your team have?

Re: Cannot Spell SECOND, without SEC

I am just saying that the past 8 years before 2013 the SEC has been much better than the ACC. Take FSU out of the ACC and the ACC is crap. Sure FSU might have competed for more BCS NCG but during the 7 years posted 4 different SEC teams won the BCS NCG, not one other ACC team competed. I fully respect FSU and their accomplishments but the shirt isn't directed at teams, it is directed at a conference. 11 SEC teams have been in the BCS NCG. 8 have won it. 4 ACC teams have been in the BCS NCG. 2 have won it. 5 SEC teams won BCS NCGs and 1 ACC team.

Oh Auburn has 1 and FSU has 2. Congrats, doesn't change the argument.

I really hope FSU and AU get to play again for all the marbles this year. It was an enjoyable game and if it wasn't AU then I am glad it was FSU.

So basically the SEC was not relevant for the 7 years prior to 2006 correct? They basically played second fiddle to the ACC, Pac12, Big12 and Big 10...oh and the Big East.

If we are talking about the past it is all relevant correct?

And FSU will not be playing Auburn again, auburn will have at least 2 losses at seasons end.

Re: Cannot Spell SECOND, without SEC

And the ACC was irrelevant the 12 years prior to last year. See we can both go there. However I wouldn't say the SEC was irrelevant for those 7 years.

    Final Poll Ranking
    1999 Alabama #8 Tennessee #9
    2000 Florida #10
    2001 Florida #3, Tennessee #4, LSU #7
    2002 Georigia #3
    2003 LSU #2 and Georgia #7
    2004 Auburn #2 (Undefeated) and Georgia #7
    2005 LSU #6, Alabama #8, Georgia #10

Contrast with ACC during the past twelve years

    2000 FSU #5
2001 No ACC Team Top 10
2002 No ACC Team Top 10
2003 No ACC Team Top 10
    2004 VT #10
    2005 VT #7
2006 No ACC Team Top 10
    2007 VT #9, BC #10
2008 No ACC Team Top 10
    2009 VT #10
2010 No ACC Team Top 10
2011 No ACC Team Top 10
    2012 FSU #10

So your game is to lump all conferences against the SEC for a 7 year period and say SEC wasn't as good as all of them combined? No, the SEC wasn't as good as the top teams in all conferences combined. I really don't understand that logic.

Auburn has problems this year and it will be a struggle but we weren't perfect last year and we made it to the game. A fan can hope.

Let me know when the sec has a school finish in the top 5 14 years in a row.

Re: Cannot Spell SECOND, without SEC

I don't know what conference you are referencing as being top 5 14 in a row but here is my breakdown starting from 1953 when the ACC was founded of top 5 finishers.

    Year ACC SEC
    1953 UM 1 -
    1954 - -
    1955 - -
    1956 - UT 2
    1957 - AU 1
    1958 - LSU 1, AU 1
    1959 - UM 2, LSU 3, UGA 5
    1960 - UM 2
    1961 - UA 1, LSU 4, UM 5
    1962 - UM 3, UA 5
    1963 - AU 5
    1964 - UA 1
    1965 - UA 1
    1966 - UA 3, UGA 4
    1967 - UT 2
    1968 - UGA 4
    1969 - -
    1970 - UT 4
    1971 - UA 4
    1972 - AU 5
    1973 - UA 4
    1976 - UA 5
    1977 - UA 3
    1978 - UA 1
    1979 - UA 1
    1980 - UGA 1
    1981 CU 1 UGA 5
    1982 - UGA 4
    1983 - AU 3, UGA 4
    1984 - UF 3
    1985 - UT 4, UF 5
    1986 - -
    1987 - LSU 5
    1988 - -
    1989 - UT 5
    1990 GT 2 -
    1991 - UA 5
    1992 FSU 2 UA 1
    1993 FSU 1 AU 4, UF 5
    1994 FSU 4 UA 5
    1995 FSU 4 UF 2, UT 3
    1996 FSU 3 UF 1
    1997 FSU 3 UF 4
    1998 FSU 3 UT 1
    1999 FSU 1 -
    2000 FSU 5 -
    2001 - UF 3, UT 4
    2002 - UGA 3
    2003 - LSU 2
    2004 - AU 2
    2005 - -
    2006 - UF 1, LSU 3
    2007 - LSU 1, UGA 2
    2008 - UF 1
    2009 - UA 1, UF 3
    2010 - AU 1
    2011 - UA 1, LSU 2, Ark 5
    2012 - UA 1, TA&M, 5
    2013 FSU 1 AU 2, SC 4, MizzU 5

So I see a 9 year span that the ACC had a top 5 team.

ACC has had 13 teams, 4 unique, finish in the top 5 for 13 of the 59 years. SEC has had 69 teams, 11 unique, finish in the top 5 for 49 of the 59 years.

Your information is wrong and I am not talking about a conference I am talking about a TEAM. FSU Finished in the top 5, 14 consecutive years from 1987-2000 in both the AP and Coaches poll.

No Team other than FSU has ever done this. You keep chanting SEC, we will keep doing the warchant.

Your entire conference has never even had a team in the top 5 for 14 consecutive years much well another individual team.

Basically FSU is greater than your entire conference.

And since FSU started that span of dominance in 1987 only one other team has more NC's than FSU.

But keep chanting SEC that is what the Gator fans are chanting during their down years.

Come on, obviously the sec is so strong they keep other teams from their own conference from being successful

Not really. Take a look at the conference that had teams win the most most national titles since the advent of the BCS.

I don't, I was disappointed to have to play Auburn. Really wanted a more prestigious program like Bama or Ohio State. Might as well play Oregon or Stanford as Auburn.

FSU is good, the ACC sucks, and the SEC is overrated.
