Feds Spend $1 Mil To Track ‘Misinformation’ And Hate Speech

    http://www.inquisitr.com/1433870/feds-s ... n-twitter/

The federal government spent $1 million to create a database to track hate speech and “misinformation” on Twitter. The National Science Foundation is behind the creation of the online government monitoring project. The database will reportedly include searches for “suspicious memes,” “false and misleading ideas” and will place particular focus on online political activity.

The Truthy database project is billed as a non-partisan effort, but the “lead investigator” on the project is reportedly involved with a multitude of progressive or liberal groups, Filippo Menczer has reportedly uttered support for Moveon.org, Amnesty International, and President Barack Obama’s Organizing for Action, among other groups.
    No potential Big Brother there.

Government "monitoring" of the American people.

This would have gotten you tarred and feathered in the Founders day.
Just a puppy kicking, children starving, grandma shoving, kitten throwing, evil, vile, nasty, disgusting, racist, sexist, bigot.....or so I've been told. :)

By whom? Certainly not the Federalist that passed the Alien and Sedition Act of 1798. The hero worship is a tad broad.

The One's America. They were probably going to funnel the info into the IRS.

Not tar and feathering. As I said, the hero worship for the founders is excessive and ignores obvious freedom restricting laws that were passed by the Federalists (oft cited Federalists) almost imediately after the ratification on the Constitution.
